One doesn't even see this same display of wealth in New York. The thing I noticed most was the little front gardens of town/row houses had all been replaced with asphalt for parking cars. Oh, yes, the plethora of billboards, which are only valuable because they front the roads we drive on. UGLY! I saw London and surroundings in 1963, then again in 2005.
