Yes, we wreak such havoc in the grand scheme of life when we think only of ourselves. Maybe that's what growing up is really about...gradually discovering and realizing how small we are and how important it can be to recognize our place in the bigger picture. Considering other people to be valuable with us, and worthy of our consideration is clearly going to be part of the solution, I now must ponder how far that will take us.
