    As a guy who gets about principally by bike, I’m of two minds about these hi-vis jackets. Of course, they are excellent at keeping you safe in traffic when its dark or foggy outside, but mine gets thrown resolutely into hiding in my bag as soon as I’m off the road.

    They’re highly uncool, and that’s simply too strong a reason for most would-be cyclists not to give it a try.
