Note how the cyclists don’t stop for anyone.
Pretty typical, based on what I see walking and riding around Portland, OR.

As I get around by bike most days, I feel I should stand up to the daft argument above. For one, there have been studies done (in Cambridge and Copenhagen, if my memory serves me right) showing that in pedestrian areas pedestrians and cyclists mix absolutely fine. As to whether this might be applicable to crossings is debatable.
More to the point, of the 11 or 12 cyclists in this video, the first guy is the only one who doesn’t stop (and I’d argue that he would’ve had to really jam on the brakes by the time the pedestrians stepped out; they patently weren’t worried about him). One does stop (1:42). And for the others, there’s no-one on the crossing to stop for. I resent this lowest common denominator stereotyping of bicyclists.
You might ‘see’ the infringements of the odd rogue cyclists, but I imagine you probably don’t in fact notice all the good cyclists. I find the same with the people who pass me in cars: I’m far more likely to notice those who pass me illegally close, or too fast, or fail to indicate for turns than those who do.
