If it's a "real" London taxi, it is entitled to use bus lanes. I wonder whether Philip has passed "the knowledge", London's famously difficult "knowledge of London" series of tests

I guess I am sort of a monkey as well. I don't get too upset about not finding a parkingspace where I want to, or when someone else beats me to it. But, I always try to see if I can park the close by where I need to be and if needed circle the block a few times.
However, when the girlfriend is in the car she tends to stress me out more during finding a parking spot. She's not that patient as I am. She would be more a mouse...

I relate this to my theory that so many drivers so often seem to be influenced by our most basic "caveman" instincts; slow = weak/prey, and the tendency of drivers to look no farther ahead than if they were on foot (and barefoot).

Prince Philip is also rumoured to drive a black cab. The theory is that the anonymity of the cab makes them less likely to be spotted - nobody ever looks at the driver of a taxi... it would be ungenerous of me to also imply that either gentleman would ever use a 'buses and taxis only' lane in their unlicensed cab. They shouldn't get flagged down unless they light up the 'for hire' sign on top
