I would like to be able to respond properly to this but can't seem to. If blind and partially sighted people are put off the area, how can we be sure the zero accident level is an accurate statement given that the current users may differ from the previous 'controls'?</description>

		<description>While I support the principles behind shared space, and applaud this effort and its success,  I must say that my initial reaction to that photo is that it looks like the kind of barren hardscape that I normally associate with auto-centric infrastructure.  Perhaps it's an improvement over what was there before,  but the scale of street furnishings relative to the overall,  and the lack of plantings makes it seem pretty desolate.</description>
