They’re about to curve right, with a wall blocking their view. From the center of the path, they have a better view of oncoming traffic (if any).

It might be worth complaining that they’re going too fast for that sort of path, and ought to be on a real street.

Case in point, notice how everyone is riding directly down the centerline, instead of within the right lane?
